During my Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency (AEGD), I was fairly exposed to orthodontics. Throughout the course of treatment of my first case with fixed orthodontics (braces), I was impressed by the alignment of teeth that took place and how it required problem-solving skills, and attention to details. I was drawn to the mix of science, biomechanics, and artistry that orthodontic offers.

I enjoy the process of diagnosing cases, developing individualized treatment plans, and guiding patients through their smile transformation journey. What I find most rewarding is seeing the positive impact that orthodontic treatment can have on a person’s confidence, oral health, and overall quality of life. Also, through the course of treatment there is an artistic side to Orthodontics that I appreciate. With Orthodontics there is something exciting to learn every day!

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors through hiking and other activities, and appreciating simple moments such as watching a good movie or enjoying a beautiful sunny day - as I often say when the sun is out, I have to be out. I also have a creative side and enjoy abstract painting when time allows.
